Integrity

Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.” (Matthew 5:37)

Integrity isn’t some unattainable piety. Integrity isn’t unfiltered truth-telling either. Morality just isn’t that cut and dried.

I long for an honesty with myself that grows into an acceptance of my true self. Vulnerability and grace invite me to be “naked and unashamed” before others. Community is a sacred gift. Where there is vulnerability and grace, integrity flourishes.

GO AND DO: Practice vulnerability. Extend grace. Pursue integrity.
